hello everyone! today we will go to sai kung with my parents for the seafood. from hung hom, we take the kmb bus no. 108 to go to causeway bay first to meet my parents before go to my parent's apartment, we go to restaurant nearby to buy the hong kong style chicken pie for my parents. ok, now we are from causeway bay going to sai kung
Stanley Market Hong Kong, if we take the private car, the journey will takes about 35 minutes. if we take public transportation, we can take mtr to go to diamond hill station, and then change to bus no.92 direction to sai kung. we are crossing eastern harbour tunnel now. it's one of the under water tunnel in hong kong connected between kowloon and hong kong island. we are crossing tseung kwan o tunnel now and entering new territories.
this is atv old building. atv is one of the biggest tv channel in hong kong, but they just discontinued the broadcast from april 2016. now, we are entering area of sai kung. the apartment here looks like resident mix office apartment in indonesia. many foreigners they choose to stay in sai kung because there's not really far from city with peaceful enviroment. this's the parking fee in sai kung, looks like expensive but it's cheap already compare with city. if you park at causeway bay, it will cost much lot and hard to find available parking. this's the seafood area in sai kung. we can choose the seafood outside.
then we can ask the chef to cook them. my most favorite seafood! mantis shrimp that placed in the bottles. beside chinese seafood restaurant, there's also many western/european style restaurant available. we're now at harbour front sai kung and many chinese seafood restaurant here. we will go to the one called chuen kee. i always recommend this restaurant to my indonesian friend. because i think the taste is more suitable for indonesian. english menu also available in this restaurant. also they have some set menu. beside seafood, you can also order dim sum in this restaurant. loh mai gai!, one of the most favorite food for indonesian and foreigners.
you can find this food at almost any chinese restaurant in hong kong. if you come to visit hong kong, don't forget to try this. you must be careful when you eat this bun, the inside is very hot. the mantis shrimp that you saw in the bottles. one of the best seafood! definitely must try food in hong kong! you must also try the crab, it's so tasty. after finished our meal, we go around area of sai kung. along the way at harbour front sai kung.. many local tour company they promoting their package to go to small islands nearby sai kung. if you interested to see the nature, you must try.
you can also buy the fresh seafood here. which just catch from the sea. beside the fresh seafood, you can also buy the dried seafood and take it to hotel later for supper. this place also very suitable for the dog lovers. you can freely taking your dogs to walk around. this's one of the traditional dessert from hakka in hong kong. it called "cha4 gwo2" in cantonese. this's hong kong style soft ice-cream. there's also one restaurant specially selling the homemade jam made with organic fruit and vegetable.
the restaurant called let's jam restaurant. there's also other kind of restaurant available. e.g. restaurant selling dessert. there's also shops selling toys and some handicraft. also place to learns arts and chinese language. the apartment in sai kung generally are not tall, different with city. even far from the city, but the rental still very expensive. ok! time to go home. before handing home, we go to time square in causeway bay.
